This is a beautiful vintage men's Swiss-Made Longines mechanical, stainless steel watch - with a hand crafted genuine leather strap.
ABOUT THIS WATCH:
Auguste Agassiz founded the watch brand Longines in 1832, this has lead to many people considering Longines to be the oldest registered watch brand in the world. Although the business started by manufacturing pocket watches, the company soon expanded to wristwatch and has continued manufacturing premium wristwatch all the way up to present day, whilst still achieving their ability charm watch enthusiasts throughout the world. Since 1867 Longines has designed and manufactured their own Swiss-Made watch movements; around 1964 Longines would go onto make the 17 Jewels Longines 19.4 movement. This is the movement located in this watch and consists of a manual mechanical winding - other Longine 19.4s also has a seconds subdial, however this time piece does not have this feature. This movement sits happily enclosed in the 'Longines 8888 28' stainless steel watch case, which has been expertly preserved, as it has next to no scratches and a beautifully transparent watch crystal.
This watch is in good working order with it keeping accurate time and the 'wind-up' function being tested. The watch's dial has acquired beautiful light patina over the many years (patina refers to this natural aging process of the timepieces that generally alters the hands, hour markers, and dials of the watch face. Collectors believe this patina adds character as every scratch, faded numeral and discolouring represents a story of the watch's past.
It also has a black thick handmade strap made from 100% genuine leather obtained from Pittards in Somerset (UK), it is specifically tailored to this watch with lovely matching black stitching that complements the dial. It feels great, will age gorgeously and mould perfectly to your wrist!
What makes this time-piece so special however, is that this watch comes with a genuine Longines watch box, which is bound to impress any watch enthusiast.
