These Seiko SilverWave Ref 2628's are very special watches and extremely hard to get hold of, I managed to pry this one from a watch dealer in Japan. The majority of Seiko fans are not aware of this watch reference (Ref 2628-0040), therefore not only will you impress a vintage watch geek but probably blow away a Seiko fan if they see it!

Seiko introduced the Silver Wave as their first attempt as a Diver Watch in 1961, Seikoholics may be aware of the cousins of this watch the 6217, 6159, 62MAS and 6105. This 2628 is from May 1981, they are seldom seen and therefore not only do I promise it will become a watch you just can't stop wearing (I personally own one too), however it will continue to rise and rise in value over the years. 

We have given this watch a hand-made premium black leather strap with contrast blue stitching which compliments the dial, it was made in the UK by a local leather craftsmen. It feels great to wear and will mould perfectly to your wrist.

The mineral crystal glass is in good condition, with only 2-3 tiny light scratches (hardly noticeable to the naked eye) . The stainless steel case is in amazing condition and so are the dial and hands. The bezel has a very small superficial crack at 3 o'clock and also at 6 o'clock, neither of which are a structural issue or noticeable.

The watch uses a 2 Jewel Cal. 2628A hacking quartz movement, it is in full working order and keeping accurate time with a brand new premium Swiss made battery installed. The watch is keeping accurate time and working perfectly

BEZEL: Fair - a very small superficial crack at 3 o'clock on the bezel and also at 6 o'clock, neither of which are a structural issue or noticeable.
DIAL: Amazing condition
BACK CASE: Great condition
CROWN: Great condition.
CRYSTAL: Good condition with only 2-3 tiny light scratches (hardly noticeable to the naked eye)
OVERALL CONDITION: Has been tested, cleaned and checked over and is in excellent working order.
PRESENTATION: Presented in a vintage style presentation box, great for a gift or to simply keep the watch in.
