This is a beautiful vintage men's Swiss-Made Girard-Perregaux mechanical, stainless steel watch with a seconds subdial.
ABOUT THIS WATCH:
Jean-François Bautte was a Swiss watchmaker and jeweller who founded one of the most successful watch manufacture of his time in Geneva. Girard-Perregaux is a very old and much loved Swiss watchmaker who work dates back to 1791. Today Girard-Perregaux (GP) watches compete with the biggest brands and any GP watch is bound to impress watch enthusiasts, as they are are one of the most desirable watches within the vintage watch world.
The watch has a stainless steel case and back, that has acquired discolouring's over the years, resulting in a lovely vintage look. It also has a brown genuine leather strap (RIOS 1931), which nicely matching the patina dial. The strap feels great, will age gorgeously and mould perfectly to your wrist. The watch's dial has acquired beautiful light patina over the years (patina refers to this natural aging process of the timepieces that generally alters the hands, hour markers, and dials of the watch face. Collectors believe this patina adds character as every scratch, faded numeral and discolouring represents a story of the watch's past.) This watch is in good working order with it keeping accurate time and the 'wind-up' function being tested. On the watch face you will also see a seconds subdial. (registering 60 seconds) with unquie blue numbering.
